The Champion of Club Champion men’s singles finals will pit Brown against Hammond. (Pictured left: The 2012 State Champion of Club Champions Kurt Brown who hopes to double up his title count.)

It will be a tough nights sleep for Kawana’s Kurt Brown and Robert Hammond (Roma) with both competitors making it through to the finals of this year’s Champion of Club Champion competition (Oct 22 – 27) at Musgrave Hill.

The pair will both be looking to continue on from their strong performances in the sectional play and take home both the silverware and the bragging rights of being State Champion of Club Champions.

Brown who claimed the prestigious title in 2012 was on fine form in the sectional rounds, securing a huge 25 – 2 win against Geebung’s Garry Schulz in his first game.

Greg Silverthorne (Woodgate) and Ray Kurtz (Mackay) also fell victim to Brown’s consistent performance despite the windy conditions on the rink, as Brown Secured 25 – 13 and 25 – 11 wins respectively.

Quietly confident Brown says he is looking forward to tomorrow’s final against section two winner Hammond.

Contending for the third spot in the event are the sectional runners-up Ray Kurtz and Capalaba’s ‘Big Jimmy” Anderson.

All four will be battling it out for silverware tomorrow when the finals begin at Musgrave Hill, to follow the results and draw click here.
