Six state titles up for grabs at 2016 Champ of Club Champs, Musgrave Hill, Oct 22 – 27. (Pictured left: Queensland’s reigning Champion of Club Champions Singles players Ryan Bester from Broadbeach and Ester Regan from Bramble Bay have just come back from representing the state at the national titles, Ryan was runner up, Ester came fourth. Who will be this year’s Singles winners?

The best club bowlers from around the state will go head-to-head in the State Finals of the Queensland Champion of Club Champions at Musgrave Hill Bowls Club on the Gold Coast, starting this weekend and running for six days (Oct 22-27).

The top eight singles, pairs and fours from the eight representative groups from around Queensland will be out to win and be crowned best for Queensland in 2016.

The competition starts with the Men’s Fours & Women’s Fours playing this Saturday and Sunday (Oct 22 – 23). The Men and Women’s pairs will then kick off on the following Monday and continue till Tuesday (Oct 24 – 25).  

The prestige event of the Men and Women’s Singles starts on Wednesday (Oct 26) and wraps up on Thursday (Oct 27).

Every match each player or team is up for the title fight of their lives and with 122 players competing it is going to be no easy feat, so come down to Musgrave Hill Bowls Club and enjoy the action!!

The eight groups consist of representatives from:

Group 1 – Cunningham, Gold Coast/Tweed

Group 2 – Brisbane, Gateway

Group 3 – Condamine, Maranoa/Warrego, Southern Downs, Downs

Group 4 – Caboolture, Brisbane North

Group 5 – Fraser Coast (Men) Wide Bay/Gympie (Women), Burnett, Sunshine Coast

Group 6 – Central Qld, Bundaberg, Port Curtis

Group 7 – Leichhardt, Mackay

Group 8 – North-West Qld, North Qld, Tropical Far North Qld

Bowls Queensland reporters will provide updates morning and evening via BQ Facebook and the BQ website, as the events unfold at Musgrave Hill.
