Queenslanders in national frame
Wilkie, Clarke, Leese, Jones – Bowler of the Year finalists Queensland bowlers are in the running for four national excellence awards, to be announced during the annual inter-state Super 6 and Australian Sides battle in Tasmania in March.
The national bowls-fest will kick off on Friday March 28 at South Burnie Bowls Club with Super 6 rounds, to be followed the next day by Super 6 finals and at night, on Saturday March 29, the annual Bowls Australia national awards presentations at Burnie Arts and Function Centre.

Male Bowler of the Year: Brett Wilkie, Club Helensvale, up against Andrew Howie, ACT. (Sponsored by City Club.)
Female Bowler of the Year: Lynsey Clarke, Club Helensvale, up against Karen Murphy, NSW.
Under-18 Male Bowler of the Year: Braidan Leese, up against Michael Sims, TAS. (Sponsored by BCiB Insurance.)
Under-18 Female Bowler of the Year: Natasha Jones, up against Chloe Stewart, VIC.
