Queensland looking to bounce back
Mixed day for the Maroons at Aust Sides Queensland will be looking to bounce back this morning (11 April) after a disappointing afternoon of play at the Australian Sides yesterday.
Both the men and women went down to their New South Wales opponents during a difficult game in overcast conditions.
Despite their best great efforts, the Queenslanders could not overcome the strength of New South Wales, who applied plenty of pressure to maintain a healthy lead against both the men and women.
The scores at the end of the day were 45-70 (men) and 47-70 (women).
The situation was different earlier in the day, when Queensland got the better of the Northern Territory, despite constant drizzle and occasional showers.
Both the men and women showed particular flare and scored substantial victories against their opponents.
The morning scores were 85-46 (men) and 95-31 (women).
This morning, the Queenslanders take on Victoria before playing the Australia Capital Territory in the afternoon at Yokine Bowls Club in WA.
The Australian Sides schedule of play can be found on the Bowls Australia website.
