Queensland bowlers chasing glory and cash as the $225K Australian Open explodes into life on the Gold Coast The 2015 Australian Open exploded into life yesterday, with more than 800 bowlers from around Australia hitting the Gold Coast greens to battle it out in the men’s blue-ribbon singles.
It’s the first time the Open has been hosted in Queensland and locals featured heavily in the draw, with a number of the State’s big names and rising young stars securing their place in the knock-out rounds.
