2016 is the sixth year of the Championships, with the Games returning to Chermside Bowls Club after the past three years at Aspley Memorial (it’s also Chermside’s third time as host club, 2011, 2012 and 2016).
This year’s State Championships run from Sunday August 28 – Wednesday August 31, with finals on Monday afternoon and Wednesday afternoon, ahead of presentation ceremonies.
Bowls Queensland organizes the Championships in conjunction with Sports Connect, an umbrella organization promoting inclusive sports opportunities.
Taking to the greens to compete for medals over the next four days are bowlers from Queensland Blind Bowls Assn (QBBA), Lifestream QLD, Sporting Wheelies & Disabled Assn QLD, and Deaf Bowls QLD.
