Dalby schoolboy Jake Rynne has added yet another impressive achievement to his ever growing list, Rynne secured the Darling Downs Association Singles Championship title on the weekend (Nov 25-26) after he defeated South Toowoomba’s Josh Steffens 25-10 in the final.
The win means Rynne now concurrently holds North Toowoomba’s A Grade Champion of Champions title, District Champion of Champions Singles title, the Group 3 Champion of District Championship Singles title and now the Association Singles Championship title.
Downs District secretary Harry Warr said he was impressed by the “13-year-old wonder” who has already achieved so much in the sport despite his young age.
“I don’t think this feat would have been done by anyone, anywhere in Australia let alone by somebody so young,” Warr said.
“He cleaned up the top bowlers in Toowoomba.”
The Queensland Under 18 rep started playing bowls at the age of five and learnt the ropes at North Dalby Bowls Club before moving to North Toowoomba.
