Bowls Queensland have announced their team to take on NSW in their Annual Test Series on February, 21-22 at the Tweed Heads Bowls Club. Congratulations to all players!

This series will also feature an Under 25’s QLD vs NSW event, with an exciting change for the U25s – there will now be two rinks of Fours instead of Singles, Pairs and Fours as in the past.

Current State Singles Champion Jay Dawe will make his test debut along with Steven Tong, who has been on the cusp for many years. Tyler Pettigrew and Jessica Parolin make their U25 debut in this series and Isabella Lawson has made a transition from the U18 QLD team into the U25s.

Returning to the team are Jamie Anderson, Georgia White and Emma Spicer. Anderson last played in 2012, while White and Spicer come back after strutting their stuff at the recent State Division 1 Pennant final.

Previous test player Andrew Howie has retired from representative bowls after taking on the Events Manager role for Bowls Australia.

One test will be played in the afternoon of Thursday, February 21 and two tests on Friday, February 22.  Click here for more information on the Test Series and U25 Test Series.

Well done to all players – see team selection below.
