Entries now open for rescheduled 2020 QLD State Championships

by jgrey on July 14, 2020

Bowls Queensland is pleased to announce that entries are now open for the rescheduled 2020 State Championships to be held during October in the Gold Coast region.

Usually held in May, this event will now be held from October 12 – 25, 2020 featuring $46,000 prize money. Entries have re-opened and will close on Monday, August 17.

Bowls Queensland would like to thank the City of Gold Coast and Major Events Gold Coast for their support of this event, as well as the Paradise Point Bowls Club that will host all finals matches. All finals days will be live streamed on the BQ Facebook page.

The State Championships have been the showcase event for bowls in QLD since 1904 (men)  and 1931 (women). Winners of all events (except Over 60s’ pairs) will advance to the Australian Championships at the Dandenong Club in Melbourne from November 30 to December 4, 2020.

As these championships were due to be held in May and other events have been cancelled this year, Bowls Queensland is predicting a great response to the re-opening of entries for this prestigious event.

If you haven’t already entered, you can click on link below for entry forms and information. Entries close on Monday August 17.
