Queensland Teams Announced for the Australian Sides Championships
Bowls Queensland have pleasure in announcing the players to represent Queensland in the Australian Sides Championships in Perth during October.
This event will be held at the Sorrento Bowling Club from 13-16 October 2023 with a pre–Test Series versus Tasmania on the 12th. The women’s team will play for the Marj Morris Trophy and the men do battle for the Alley Shield.
After winning the coveted Alley Shield in last year’s event the men’s team will be out to defend their title while the women will be looking to go one better after claiming Silver in last year’s Championships.
Bowls Queensland Selection Co-ordinator Christina Pavlov: “Following on from a three-nil win in the strongly contested test series against New South Wales, I’m confident that this team has what it takes to have strong claims for the Women’s Marg Morris Trophy. Also, equally confident that our men’s team will perform well once again in their quest for back-to-back titles.”
