Australian Senior Sides Day 3 Results

Day 3 of the Australian Senior Sides (Over 60) at the Joondalup Bowling Club, Perth WA.

Our Queensland men came out firing in the morning game defeating South Australia on all three rinks. The afternoon proved to be much harder with Tasmania jumping out of the blocks and going out to a 16 shot lead. The Queenslanders clawed their way back to within 1 shot before the margin blew out again to 10. In a magnificent team effort, the Queenslanders scored 13 unanswered shots to lead by 3 going into the last end. Keeping it tight, the Queenslanders snuck home by 2 in an epic battle to retain top spot on the ladder, one and a half games clear with one round to play!

The Women’s teams were neck and neck all morning with South Australia one up going into the last end, the game came down to the last bowl with SA winning by 3. The Queensland girls bounced back in the afternoon to lead all the way and win by 8 shots, they sit fifth on the ladder on 3 wins and 3 losses with one round remaining tomorrow morning vs NT.
