Vale – Martin Corr

Bowls Queensland is deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Martin Corr, Bowls Queensland Director.

Martin was involved in various bowls administrative positions from club, district through to State level over a 20-year period. 

His first position in bowls administration was when became involved with the Proserpine Bowls Club as Secretary in 1993. He then held various positions at the club with his more recent post being as Chairman.

Martin joined the Mackay District Bowls Association as Junior Vice President and a member of the Match Committee in 2012. He held various positions on the District executive since then including President and a District Delegate to Bowls Queensland from 2014 to 2023.

In March 2023 Martin was elected to the Board of Bowls Queensland as a Director.

Martin also devoted much time to the Community of Proserpine by giving his time to the Proserpine Nursing Home and Whitsunday Dog Obedience & Agility Club.

Bowls Queensland’s Board, staff and committees express their condolences to Martin’s wife Gaye, family and close friends.
