Stewart relished the opportunity to play the event on her home greens at Club Tweed, a great supporter of hers for many years. This was her maiden victory after coming close on a few occasions in this event in the past, “This is one title that I have been trying to get for a number of years, I am really stoked to get over the line in a really tough field, very cool and excited! Thank you to Club Tweed and the members for their support” Stewart said.

This was the first time in this event for Nelson who hails from the Capalaba Sports Club, a great achievement for his maiden tournament. Nelson was over the moon following the event, “I think personally after winning the Queensland Title I was pretty happy at that point, and now to win at this level with the quality of field we had is just amazing, I couldn’t be happier. This is one of the most surreal moments of my life, I am absolutely pumped! Now Chloe and I are going to the Worlds together, so I couldn’t be more excited for that as well” Nelson exclaimed.

Both players will compete in the World Champion of Champions at Club Barham NSW from 20 – 25 September 2025.
