Nev Galbraith Recognised in King’s Birthday 2025 Honours List
Bowls Queensland is proud to acknowledge the late Neville “Nev” Galbraith, who was posthumously awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) in the 2025 King’s Birthday Honours List.
Nev made an outstanding contribution to Bowls Queensland from 2006 to 2017, serving in a range of key roles including Men’s Section President, Board Director, Match Committee Coordinator, and as a dedicated member of several committees. His commitment extended beyond the state level, with significant involvement in the Brisbane North District Bowls Association and at his beloved Deception Bay Bowls Club.
In addition to his service to bowls, Nev was also honoured for his contributions to the Australian Defence Force and the Royal Australian Artillery Association.
Nev sadly passed away in March 2023, but his legacy and impact on both the bowls community and the nation live on.
