Bowls Queensland is pleased to announce Club Musgrave as the Major Host Venue for the 2026 Queensland State Championships, to be held from 11 to 24 May 2026 on the Gold Coast.

As part of this role, Club Musgrave will host all championship finals along with the majority of matches throughout the two-week event, positioning the club at the centre of one of the state’s premier lawn bowls competitions. The Championships will bring together the best bowlers from across Queensland to compete across multiple disciplines, showcasing elite performance and the strength of the sport statewide.

To support the delivery of a competition of this scale, several leading Gold Coast clubs will also play an important role as sectional round host venues. Club Helensvale, Club Broadbeach, Club Robina, Paradise Point Bowls Club and Club Mermaid will each host matches during the early stages of the Championships, ensuring high-quality playing surfaces and facilities are available across the event schedule.

Bowls Queensland Event & Competitions Manager Micheal Sorrensen said the appointment reflects both the capacity and reputation of Club Musgrave within the bowls community.

“Club Musgrave has consistently demonstrated its ability to deliver major events at a high standard, and we are confident the 2026 State Championships will provide a fantastic experience for players, officials and spectators alike,” Sorrensen said.

“The support of the broader Gold Coast club network is equally important, and we thank all host venues for their collaboration in delivering this championship.”

Club Musgrave General Manager Wayne Hatchman said the club was proud to play a central role in the event.

“Club Musgrave is honoured to host the 2026 Bowls Queensland State Championship Finals. Welcoming Queensland’s top competitors and showcasing such a high standard of bowls is a privilege for our club. We look forward to reconnecting with familiar faces, welcoming new visitors, and providing an exceptional experience for all who attend. We hope everyone enjoys our facilities and the warm hospitality that Club Musgrave is known for.”

The Queensland State Championships remain a cornerstone event on the bowls calendar, offering athletes the opportunity to compete for state titles while fostering connection across clubs and regions.

Further event details, including draws and scheduling information, will be released closer to the Championships.
