Bowls Queensland is proud to announce that the 2026 Queensland State Championships will be held on the Gold Coast from 11–24 May 2026, bringing together the state’s top bowlers for one of the most prestigious events on the calendar.

The Championships will be anchored by Major Club Host, Club Musgrave, with matches played across a network of leading venues throughout the Gold Coast, reinforcing the region’s reputation as a premier destination for bowls in Australia.

A total of 1,757 participants will take to the greens across 11 disciplines, showcasing the depth of talent and competitive spirit within Queensland bowls.

The event is proudly supported by Experience Gold Coast, whose partnership continues to elevate the profile of bowls as a key contributor to the region’s major events landscape.

City of Gold Coast Mayor Tom Tate welcomed competitors and officials to the city.

“State honours are on the line and I welcome competitors and officials to the spiritual home of lawn bowls in Australia,’’ said City of Gold Coast Mayor Tom Tate.

“The city’s major events calendar is brimming with prestige attractions and I know lawn bowls attracts strong rivalry across every club in the state. It’s showtime on the Gold Coast. See you there.’’

Bowls Queensland President, Brian Marshall, said the Championships remain a pinnacle event for players across the state.

“The Queensland State Championships represent the highest level of competition within our state, bringing together the very best bowlers from across Queensland,” he said.

“With such strong participation numbers and the backing of our partners and host venues, this year’s Championships promise to deliver outstanding competition and showcase the strength of our sport.”

Adding to the event experience, live streaming coverage will be delivered by Robbie Allan and the Bowls Gold Coast Tweed Media Team, ensuring fans, clubs and supporters can follow all the action throughout the Championships.

The stakes extend beyond state glory, with winners earning the opportunity to represent Queensland at the Australian Championships, to be held from 19–22 October 2026 at Mount Lawley Bowling Club in Western Australia.
