Queensland Para Teams Named for NSW Test Series
Bowls Queensland is proud to announce the Queensland Kookaburras Para Men’s and Para Women’s teams selected to take on New South Wales in the upcoming QLD vs NSW Para Test Series.
The series will be held at Northern Suburbs Bowls Club from 27 to 29 July 2026, bringing the interstate rivalry to Queensland as the Kookaburras prepare to defend home ground against NSW.
The selected teams feature a strong mix of experience, representative quality and club pride, with players from across Queensland earning the opportunity to wear the maroon and represent their state.
The Queensland Para Men’s team includes Tony Bonnell from Brighton, Brett Sellars from Bribie Island, Clive Williams from Boonooroo-Sandy Straits, Cooper Whitestyles from Souths Suburban and Wesley Brown from Club Pine Rivers.
The Queensland Para Women’s team includes Annette Goldsworthy from Calliope Central, Cheryl Lindfield from Mt Gravatt, Joanne Frost from Club Helensvale, Kaytlyn Smith from Edge Hill Cairns and Trish Spicer from Marlin Coast.
The QLD vs NSW Para Test Series provides an important representative opportunity for Queensland’s Para athletes, while continuing to showcase the strength, depth and inclusiveness of bowls across the state.
With Northern Suburbs Bowls Club set to host the series, Queensland supporters will have the chance to get behind the Kookaburras on home soil as they take on a strong New South Wales side.
