The 2024 State District Sides Championships will be held in the Gold Coast District from Wednesday 8 May to Saturday 11 May.

Men: Broadbeach and Musgrave Hill
Women: Helensvale and Paradise Point

The State District Sides Championships is the marquee event on Queensland’s bowling calendar, with districts going head-to-head in separate men’s and women’s competitions.

These teams battle it out, not only for bragging rights, but also for the chance to be crowned Queensland’s top bowling district.

The competition is held over four days, with approximately 550 players and team officials attending each year. Upon the conclusion of the District Sides, players have the opportunity to stay at the host district to compete in Queensland’s State Championships.

Dates for the 2024 State Championships - May 13 to 26

The 2024 State Championships will commence on Monday 13 May and finish on Sunday 26 May. They will be played at clubs in the Gold Coast area with Finals to be held at Club Musgrave.

Queensland’s State Championships are open to all Bowls Queensland affiliated bowlers. These championships enable players to compete for state titles in Singles, Pairs, Over-60s Pairs, Mixed Pairs, Triples and Fours.

Capturing a coveted state crown places the winner in the company of some of Queensland’s greatest bowlers. Previous winners can be viewed under the history tab.
