2026 Open Gender Pennant
The future of lawn bowls in Queensland is taking on an exciting new look. Through the partnership with the Queensland Premier League and the introduction of Divisions 1, 2 and 3, these competitions will now be conducted as Open Gender events.
The State Pennant competition gives district Divisions 1, 2 and 3 Open Gender Pennant winners the opportunity to play off at group level for the chance to compete at Queensland’s state finals.
Successful group playoff winners from around the state battle it out for the new Divisions 1, 2 and 3 Open Gender State Pennant flags.
As part of the Bowls Queensland Board’s commitment to delivering more events across regional Queensland, we are pleased to announce the following championship venues:
Division 1 Open Pennant
Venue: Coolum Beach Sports Club
Division 2 Open Pennant
Venue: Capalaba Sports Club
Division 3 Open Pennant
Venue: North Mackay Bowls Club (Goosies)
These changes represent an exciting step forward for the sport, creating greater opportunities for participation, competition and regional engagement throughout Queensland.
