Queensland High Performance Academy – 2024
October 2024 saw the launch of the Bowls Australia State-Based Jackaroos Academies, taking the place of the former Bowls Australia Pathways squad and the Queensland High Performance Academy. This new program is led in Queensland by Lynsey Clarke and Alan Thorp. For more information: CLICK HERE
‘Shaping our Next Generation of Champions’
The Queensland High Performance Academy is an Elite Development Training Squad and Program for selected athletes, between the ages of 15-30 years who have AMBITION to achieve success at the highest level, identified high-level ABILITY and talent, and exceptional personal qualities and ATTITUDE.
- Purpose is to provide a connected, supported, educational and motivational training environment tailored to the needs of athletes in the ‘Development Phase’ of their bowls careers (not yet reached State Open Representative level).
- The Academy will educate and promote foundational bowls (and life) skill sets and values.
